Dale Assistant Manager
“The firm offers a good range of both internal and external training courses.”
The fact they were willing to take me on as a junior trainee and support me through all of my accountancy training, when at the time I had only just finished my A Levels and had very little accounting knowledge.
I am a Business Services Assistant Manager. I manage a portfolio of family business clients and assist them with their various accounting and taxation affairs, including sole trade, partnership and statutory company accounts and corporation tax return prep, VAT returns, management accounts, personal tax returns and various other ad-hoc matters.
The people I work with.
I joined PKF Francis Clark as a junior trainee in Business Services straight after finishing my A Levels. I have since studied AAT, ACCA and now CTA and in that time have progressed within the Business Services team to an Assistant Manager.
Gaining my professional qualifications.
The firm offers a good range of both internal and external training courses, which continuously update and develop my accounting and taxation knowledge and awareness. The partners and senior managers are also always willing to assist in any way they can when I have queries.
Good self-motivation with an eagerness to learn and adapt.
Be enthusiastic and well-motivated and ensure accountancy is the right working sector for you, as the road through all of the various qualifications can be a long one.
Challenging but rewarding.
