  • How do I apply for a job with PKF Francis Clark?

We use an online application process for all our vacancies. You will find details of all our current vacancies here.

If you don’t see anything that matches your skills and experience you can register for job alerts so you’ll be kept up-to-date when something does become available.

  • There isn’t a vacancy that matches my requirements, can I email my CV speculatively?

We do not accept speculative CVs by email. Please use the speculative vacancy to submit your CV to us.

If you are looking for a trainee position speculatively we have a rigid timetable of when we recruit into these areas so its best to keep up to date with this via job alerts.

You can set up job alerts which will notify you as soon as something does become available.

Alternatively you can create an account and your details will be searchable by our Resourcing team and we can notify you if we have something that we feel matches your skills and experience.

  • I have a disability which may require special adjustments to be made throughout the recruitment process. What should I do?

Please contact a member of our Resourcing team, you will find our details on the contact us page, and we will work with you to support your needs.

  • When will I hear back following my application?

You will receive an email confirmation when your application has been submitted successfully. We strive to come back to all candidates as soon as we can with any updates but, if you have not heard from us within two weeks, feel free to get in touch to see what is happening.

You will receive notifications via email of any status updates, or you can log in to your recruitment account to view any messages. Due to the volume of applications we receive we are not able to give feedback to all applicants who have been unsuccessful at the initial application stage.

  • Can I apply for more than one vacancy with PKF Francis Clark?

Yes you can, however, please be aware that often vacancies will progress through the recruitment process at different rates. Please be mindful that we are unable to keep a position open unnecessarily so you may have to make some decisions along the way with regards to the roles you are applying for.

  • Can I apply for a job by email or post?

No, all applications must be made online.

  • I have made a mistake in my application; how can I amend it?

Unfortunately once you have submitted your application you’re unable to make any changes to the information you have provided. Should you need to make a change please contact the Resourcing team and they will be able to help you.

  • Can I apply if I require a permit to work in the UK?

Unfortunately we are unable to employ anyone who doesn’t have the right to work in the UK or to sponsor work permits.

  • How do I get feedback on my application?

Due to the volume of applications we receive, unfortunately we’re unable to provide feedback at application stage. If you have completed a telephone or face-to-face interview, we will provide you with feedback.

  • If I am selected for a phone interview, what should I expect?

A member of the Resourcing team will be in touch with you by phone or email to let you know you have been shortlisted and book you in for your phone interview. You will also be able to find all the relevant information for your interview in the ‘my applications’ section of your account. Our telephone interviews usually last between 20 and 30 minutes.

Please make sure you have your CV to hand and are in a quiet place for interview.

  • What interview process do you follow?

For experienced hires we use a combination of phone and face-to-face interviewing, assessment centres, psychometric testing, personality profiling and skills-based assessments.

Although we operate a standard two stage interview process, at times this may change dependent on the role we are recruiting for. We will ensure you are fully aware of what to expect at each stage of the interview process.

For trainee roles we have a 4 stage selection process:

    Step 1 – Application form

You will need to complete our online application form and tell us a bit about you.

    Step 2 – Online tests

If you pass our application form screening, you will be required to complete some online tests. These are verbal and numerical reasoning, and don’t worry, you’ll be given the opportunity to have a practice before the real test starts!

    Step 3 – Phone interview

If you do well in your online tests, we will invite you to have a phone interview with one of our dedicated recruiters. We will want to get to know you a bit better, as well as asking you some more formal questions.

    Step 4 – Interview

If you have demonstrated excellence throughout all of our previous steps, we will invite you to attend an interview.

  • Can I claim travel expenses for attending an interview?

We do not cover candidate’s travel expenses for interviews.

  • Do you have any interview tips?

Although interviews should be challenging, we will try to make the whole experience as comfortable as we can. Here are a few things to think about:

    • Read the job description in detail and make a note of your strengths, skills and experience with the requirements of the job you are applying for in mind.
    • Familiarise yourself with our values and make sure you have researched the firm and team thoroughly.
    • When you’re asked a question during your interview, take your time to answer and think through what you want to say.
    • Consider what it is about PKF Francis Clark and the job you’re applying for that appeals to you.
    • If you are attending a virtual interview check that all of your technology is working and that your work space is going to work for you in advance, this will avoid any unnecessary panic and give you time to resolve any issues.
  • Covid 19

The safety of all of our employees and clients is paramount and this applies to potential employees too, therefore if you are displaying any symptoms of Covid 19 please DO NOT come to our offices. We will look to reschedule your interview to another date or move it to a virtual meeting, whichever works for everyone.

We are adhering to all current government advice, therefore if you are attending a face to face interview we will talk to you in more detail about what to expect prior to your meeting in order to ensure you know what to expect.

  • What happens if I get offered a job at PKF Francis Clark?

We will get in touch with you straight away!

One of the Resourcing team will contact you by telephone to let you know the good news; they’ll also talk you through the details of the job offer. Your offer letter and full contract of employment will follow and be issued to you electronically via our recruitment portal. You will then be able to review and sign your contract by e-signature, reducing the need for paper copies to be issued.

Once you have accepted our offer of employment you will have access to more of our onboarding documents via the portal which will give you more information about life with the firm.

Our Resourcing and People team will be on hand to support you through your onboarding process and to make arrangements for you joining the firm.

  • Does PKF Francis Clark have a referencing process?

Yes. Your offer of employment will be conditional upon receipt of satisfactory references.

Once you have signed your offer of employment you will need to provide us with some personal information, as well as your reference details for us to contact the relevant parties.

We will not contact your current employer until you let us know that you are happy for us to do so.
